Hi all, I did my pregnancy ultrasound for gender prediction, at 28 weeks and the result as told by practitioner were "a girl" I forgot not to ask how she was saying it was a girl. As I read, various reports on the internet, learned people have said that practitioner often make mistake of saying it is a girl if they can’t find a penis, however the correct way is to see the three lines. However, I don’t know either, whether the practitioner looked the three lines and said it was a girl, or whether the absense of penis made her say it. According to doctors the absense of penis is not sufficient as the penis maybe hiding behind.
I did Chinese prediction test and found it told me a ‘boy’ my bodily functions and my feel also tells me it is a boy, as it moves alot and I carry it low etc. The Chinese prediction test and other websites based on calculations etc. all told me it is going to be boy.
Do you think I have hope for first child as a boy or ultrasounds are mostly accurate or not?
I am 8 weeks pregnant and you can take the test at 10 weeks..I am wondering if anyone has tried it and if it was right or wrong for them..I would really hate to pay for the test and it not work for me. I have 3 girls and we are really hoping for a boy this time..there is a place where I live that you can pay them an they do an ultrasound at 16 weeks instead of 20 weeks and they will tell you the sex of the baby a month before doctors will. If the intelligender doesnt work then I am going to wait until 16 weeks to find out for sure..thanks in advance for anyone who answers my questions!
There’s a lot of hype going around with the media at the moment regarding medically directed gender prediction aka sex selection, people choosing male or female as a prerequisite for having children. Will this become a normal accepted trend? Do you support this type of intervention or are you against it?
baby at 10 weeks. How long as this been on the market? Sounds gimmicky to me. If it was accurate worked and it’s just urine based, wouldn’t someone have come up with it a long time ago? And wouldn’t doctors use it for finding out gender instead of expensive procedures like ultrasounds? Give me your thoughts please
We’ve just found out…we’re having a girl! My husband and I had a feeling, but we would have been happy regardless of whether it was a boy or girl, and we didn’t make any guesses or anything before hand.
However, my mother was OBSESSED with finding out what we were having by basing it on old wives tales. She was really starting to annoy me every time I came home from a doctor’s appointment. "What was the heart rate, did they say if it was a boy or a girl?!" knowing full well that doctors don’t base medical opinions on genders from heart rates…) and "Well, it’s 160 beats per minute so it must be a girl…". I also heard "you’re not putting on any weight in your butt so you’re having a girl" and "if your doctor tells you you’re having a small baby, that means it’s a girl too, because girls are smaller and more dainty". She tried to get me to tell her if I was carrying low or high, but because I have such a short torso it’s impossible to tell! Also, when I told my mother it was a girl, all she said was "See, I was RIGHT…remember when we did the string test when you were little?" (I must have been 12 or so at the time…!)
Anyway, to be honest, my mother has been driving me bats@%t crazy with all these predictions and old wives tales! Now that I know it’s actually a girl, based on scientific testing, I feel more relieved that my mother can’t come up with any wild predictions anymore. Is there anyone you know who has been driving you crazy with old wives tale predictions? If so, did it get better the further along in your pregnancy you got?
This is not my mother’s first grandchild. My older brother has kids.
Sometimes I worry about her, like when she gets unfounded premonitions of someone dying in her dreams and she calls me at 2:30am to make sure I’m okay. She cleans people’s houses and is convinced there is the spirit of a little boy in the house because a toy started playing music without being touched. The pregnancy predictions really do it for me though, because I live next door to my husband’s parents and they’re a little more…shall we say, grounded, and I feel embarassed for my mother when she says stuff like that.
does anyone know where i can fnd the orginal chinese grender chart? I have found a few online but everytime i check it one says boy and one says girl so I am lost. I am 21 weeks pregnant with #3 and we still don’t know what we are having.
how many of you have had them be right with all of your kids, or yourself?
the doctors aren’t even sure what i am having yet LOL
3 ultrasound since 12 weeks and the baby WILL NOT SHOW him/her self.
Why is there no law in North America Protecting baby boys from circumsision?
Talk about trauma in the first few weeks of life…having a doctor cut the tip of the infants penis off with a razor. with out any painkillers
Would that not be the equivalent to having a baby girl deflowerd with a test tube?
In my opinion it should be a criminal act to do such a horrible thing to an infant boy for cosmetics or religion, and that parents and doctors should be subjected to punishment for commiting such horrendous acts of violence towards defenseless infants, and any religion that promotes such acts banned.
how would you imagine your private parts would feel after the novacain wore off and the cut you recieved from the alteration of your body, was in constant contact with a material that is soaked in urine? oh and you have no ability to use your arms to ease your discomfort. I might not have a brain but i do realise what is torture..oh and to the one who said i have no brain. be thankful your nephew did not have the butcher for a surgeon that mine did.
I am 15 wks pregnant and have a doctors appointment schedueled at 17wks….Im already antsy to know what Im having and wanting to know what is the earliest they can determine sex?
I’ve heard of many many ways to ensure having a baby boy or baby girl. My question is , however, do doctors have ways to conceive twins, triplets, etc…?
