While explaining the procedure, he explained that they wash the sperm before inserting them and made mention that it was possible to separate "male" and "female" sperm. IUI is fairly inexpensive (compared to IVF and other methods), so it would be worth asking your wife's Dr. about. They only wanted one, so they did a selective abortion. She kept the girl because she already had a boy. I find that so disturbing. Even though you don't seem to be asking about such procedure, anyway, are you sure you'd like to play with Mother Nature, when it comes to children? As a parent, you know that any child is a blessing, not a catalog order. If the gender is so important, have you considered adopting? It increases the odds, but is no guarantee. You will need to contact a fertility clinic in your area and explain your situation and ask where you can go for this procedure and how much it costs.
