yeah, I am pretty sure there is nothing like that.

I’m sure there’s hospitals like that out there, but i’m not aware of them. Have you and your wife ever discussed adopting a little girl?

I don’t know if this would apply, but my OBGYN suggested doing and IUI a few months ago. While explaining the procedure, he explained that they wash the sperm before inserting them and made mention that it was possible to separate "male" and "female" sperm. IUI is fairly inexpensive (compared to IVF and other methods), so it would be worth asking your wife’s Dr. about.

Ya know, I’m sure that they are out there…however, your in TTC and most people in here just want to have 1!!! no matter what it is… I say try for a girl, if its a boy, I guess you get another boy! Or try the adoption thing!

Wow – I’ve never heard of such a thing.
It’s scary messing with those kind of things though.

    Check out this website: http://www.ivf-infertility.com/infertility/sex_selection.php

however i will say that selecting gender for "family balancing" issues is very controversial, and very expensive
I would say either take the chance on your own or adopt, there are plenty of babies out there looking for homes.

I know of a couple who underwent fertility treatments and became pregnant with twins (1 boy 1 girl). They only wanted one, so they did a selective abortion. She kept the girl because she already had a boy. I find that so disturbing. Even though you don’t seem to be asking about such procedure, anyway, are you sure you’d like to play with Mother Nature, when it comes to children? As a parent, you know that any child is a blessing, not a catalog order. If the gender is so important, have you considered adopting? So many little girls at this very moment may be waiting for a loving home..

There is a procedure to try and seperate male and female sperm. It increases the odds, but is no guarantee. You will need to contact a fertility clinic in your area and explain your situation and ask where you can go for this procedure and how much it costs. Hope this helps.

Yes, there are actually and those fertility clinics are in CA. Most other clinics will only do this if there is a sex-linked gene problem. Can’t tell you which one because I don’t know. You will have to call around. IVF is the only way to go and your insurance will not cover it in any way. With the added procedure, you are looking at least at $25,000.

I only know about this because of a group I used to belong to. Since Canada banned this option unless there is a sex-linked hereditary disease, it’s about the only place Canadians can go for the procedure.

You can…but I have heard that it costs 25-35000 for the procedure. The di if by artificial insemination…they actually inject your wife’s egg witht he female sperm. On http://www.baby2see.com it does have a section on how you can have a girl or a boy, and what time in the cycle works best.

not sure if theirs a clinic out there that does that, but you and your wife are lucky enough to have 3 blessings and if you guys concieve again and it be a boy, still give him praise
